Armada Development cooperates actively with many investors and companies, helping them in achieving particular goals. However, our engagement goes beyond the actions involving exclusively business aims. We want to participate in the everyday life of the community in which we operate.
Therefore, we were pleased to accept the offer of supporting the first division football team – Polonia Bytom. Activity in that field matches perfectly our sense of social mission directed towards the residents of Bytom, whom we would like to thank in that way for the trust they placed in us when they heard the news about the planned investment in Bytom.
Polonia Bytom
Polonia Bytom – Upper Silesian football club, founded in January 1920, now appearing in matches of Orange Exstraclass. The first match played by Polonia was in February 1920 and her opponent was Pogoń Katowice.
Because of political reasons, after 3rd Silesian Uprising and the administrative division of Upper Silesia, at the end of 1922, Polonia Bytom has been closed down by Germany.
The biggest success of the team was winning twice the title of Polish Master in football, for the first time in 1954 and then in 1962.
Polonia is also the winner of Rappan Cup, which is an equivalent of the present-day Intertoto Cup and the America Cup. Three times, during her long story, Polonia was a finalist of the Polish Cup, but she never get that honorable title.
